The Masevaux-Niederbruck inter-municipal waste collection center: a key facility for the region
The Masevaux-Niederbruck inter-municipal waste collection center will open on February 2, 2026, in the Allmend business park. This new waste management facility is the first permanent installation of its kind in the Doller Valley and marks a major step in the modernization of local infrastructure.
Designed to meet the needs of both users and operators, this facility includes drop-off platforms, skip locations, as well as technical buildings and storage areas representing approximately 150 m² of infrastructure . The entire complex has been designed to guarantee smooth, safe, and sustainable operation.
A modern waste disposal center dedicated to sorting and recycling waste
The opening of this waste collection center coincides with the discontinuation of the mobile collection service previously deployed in surrounding municipalities. This new system now allows for 29 collection streams , significantly improving sorting and waste recovery.
Centralizing inputs at a single site also contributes to better control of treatment costs, while strengthening the overall performance of the public waste management service in the territory.
GILLARD SAS equipment adapted to the needs of waste disposal centers
As part of this inter-municipal waste disposal project, GILLARD SAS supplied several pieces of equipment designed to optimize the deposit areas and the treatment of waste on site.
The ORK Compactor is a versatile compactor, suitable for all types of waste. It reduces the volume of waste collected and optimizes waste flow management while improving operating conditions.
The HULK 1 is a loading solution designed to facilitate the transport of waste in removable skips of 8 to 15 m³ . Versatile, it is suitable for construction waste, green waste, wood, pallets or even furniture.
The HULK 2 is a patented loading device, entirely manufactured in France. It allows for the safe ground loading of a wide variety of waste into removable skips of 15 to 35 m³ , addressing the current challenges of optimizing and securing waste flows in professional waste disposal facilities.
A project for an inter-municipal waste disposal site led by local stakeholders
This project is led by the municipality of Masevaux-Niederbruck, the Doller and Soultzbach Valley Community of Municipalities, and local planning stakeholders. It is the culmination of several years of reflection and coordination around a long-identified need.
The total cost of the operation amounts to 2 million euros including VAT , of which 1,4 million euros excluding VAT are dedicated to the works , with financial support from the Grand Est Region.
