A new generation waste disposal site that is generating interest
On July 18, 2024, the teams of the SICTOM of Châteauneuf-sur-Loire and society GILLARD visited the Aubergenville waste disposal center, recently modernized. Objective of the visit: to discover the technical innovations implemented and share best practices in waste management.
Since 2022, the recycling center has been transformed into an efficient and secure site, integrating:

A system of latest generation compaction to reduce the volumes to be transported,

Equipment of mechanized loading strengthening safety and efficiency,
-
Un automatic license plate reading system to facilitate access,
-
A separation of flows allowing a more precise sorting and total maximum valuation waste.
A delegation mobilized to draw inspiration from best practices
This visit brought together several elected officials and local representatives, including:

Stephan Champagne, vice-president of the urban community in charge of waste,

Philippe Kutzner, president of SICTOM,

Larry Jourdan, vice-president of the union,

Dominique Daimay, SICTOM delegate.
All highlighted the importance of such infrastructure in meeting current challenges in waste management and ecological transition.
Upcoming modernization for the Limay waste disposal site
Inspired by Aubergenville, the Limay waste disposal center will in turn benefit from a complete modernization. Its reopening is planned for Monday August 5 2024, Along with:
