The KARAVEL mobile pedestrian waste collection center – Pedestrian Version is designed for urban and semi-urban areas. It meets the specific needs of communities and facilitates access for users on foot. In addition, this modular facility, manufactured in France, combines flexibility and efficiency for waste collection.
A flexible and modular concept
First, KARAVEL complies with the NF P01-012 standard. Thanks to its modular system, each site can configure the modules according to the types of waste to be processed. For example, the central module incorporates sliding plates made from recycled plastic. As a result, each element can be positioned quickly and precisely, even in a confined space.
Simplified maneuverability and handling
Next, KARAVEL pedestrians adapts perfectly to hand trucks. You don't need a crane or a driver with CACES (certificate of certification for drivers). What's more, the system doesn't require a trailer or semi-trailer. This way, you avoid the hassle of registering for a vehicle and special insurance. Finally, one person can assemble or disassemble the system alone, including the standardized hot-dip galvanized grating staircase, with the help of the truck's arm.
Robust technical characteristics
Additionally, KARAVEL uses high-quality materials to ensure strength and durability. For example, the modules are based on 200 mm IPN beams and a 6 mm steel sheet base, manufactured in one piece. In addition, the sides are 5 mm thick, and the front panels and doors are 4 mm thick. Continuous welds and three-part mechanically welded hinges guarantee optimal strength. As a result, the device maintains its stability even in difficult conditions.
Smooth movement of modules
In addition, the 200 mm rollers, mounted on ERTALON bushings, facilitate the sliding of the modules. This allows you to move each element effortlessly, while maintaining perfect alignment. These rollers also simplify the rapid rearrangement of the recycling center.
Optimized capacity and ergonomics
The pedestrian KARAVEL offers a load capacity of 30 m³. This means you can collect a large volume of heavy waste, such as rubble or furniture. In addition, the 1,2 m high central platform is made of hot-dip galvanized checkerboard. In addition, the central module is fitted with flaps to prevent waste from falling between the modules. This ensures site safety and a clean collection area.
Main advantages
First, KARAVEL pedestrians simplify the management of a large flow of heavy waste, accessible directly from the ground thanks to the open doors. Second, you optimize the space under the central platform for specific flows (used oils, textiles, etc.). In addition, this system requires no special maintenance, which extends its lifespan. Finally, KARAVEL offers several customization options:
-
ERTALON rollers to improve module accessibility.
-
Anti-graffiti and anti-UV decoration to protect outdoor modules.
-
Number of partitions adjustable according to selective sorting needs.
Conclusion: reliable and economical equipment
In summary, the KARAVEL pedestrian version is a practical and efficient solution for urban or semi-urban centers. It combines maneuverability, modularity, and durability. As a result, it remains a reliable, economical, and environmentally friendly choice for optimizing selective waste collection.
