KOUROU is a patented system designed by GILLARD, a French manufacturer specializing in waste treatment equipment for over 30 years. This innovative device combines loading, lifting, and safety. It forms a high dock guardrail that complies with the NF P01-012 standard, thus ensuring the protection of operators.
Adaptability and waste management
This system is perfectly suited to docks where the difference in level between the dump body and the ground varies between -500 mm and +750 mm. Thus, KOUROU handles various types of waste, such as rubble, green waste (with optional bucket extension), cardboard, wood or even scrap metal. In addition, it offers a loading capacity of 2 to 3 m³ per cycle, with a maximum payload of 800 kg. As a result, this system optimizes waste management, limiting the number of emptying operations, even for long (up to 5 m) and wide (up to 2 m) waste.
Materials, ergonomics and safety
The 304 stainless steel loading plate guarantees excellent corrosion resistance. In addition, the ergonomic loading height of 320 mm reduces physical strain on operators. Furthermore, key controls prevent unauthorized use. Simultaneous dual button activation enhances operational safety. The control box is also designed to provide perfect visibility during emptying phases, allowing for rigorous control of waste sorting.
Additional protection and security
The 1100 mm high guardrail remains constant throughout the cycle to ensure optimal safety. In addition, fixed side barriers and light curtains protect the maneuvering area. This prevents any intrusion during operations, increasing safety for users.
Operation and technical options
The electro-hydraulic micro-power station operates on a 230 V single-phase power supply. Optionally, it is possible to choose a 380 V three-phase motor, an access ramp, a wheel stop, or even a bucket extension for green waste. When the bin is full, the bucket can serve as a buffer while waiting for an empty bin. In addition, the raised barrier blocks access to emptying. KOUROU thus promotes better distribution of waste in the bin, which improves safety during transport.
